Steward's Report
Zipping Jersey - Late scratching at 10:56 am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Aston Jagger upon arrival at the course.
Mr Thomas Wark was issued with a warning after the greyhound Kehestto was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.
Club Official Mr Les Harris was issued with a warning after the greyhound Kehestto was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
A pre-race sample was taken from Merl's Angel.
Macs Model, Stand Beside Me and Aston Jagger collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Macs Model. Stand Beside Me galloped on the heels of Aston Jagger on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Jagger raced wide in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Macs Model- placed fourth in the event.

Stewards held an inquiry with Mr Clint Capuano in regards to his conduct after the running of this race. Stewards heard evidence from Stewards Shane Bettess and Michael Hill and Mr Capuano. After hearing submissions, Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 (q) for engaging in conduct detrimental the image of greyhound racing. Mr Capuano pleaded guilty to the charge. After hearing submissions on penalty, including his good record and acknowledgement of the offence, a fine of $250 was imposed, with $100 suspended for 12 months pending no further behaviour related offences in that time.
