Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Clark, Trainer of Kraken Katie regarding the late scratching of the greyhound in today's event. Mr. Clark stated that as he was preparing Kraken Katie for racing he was made aware that the greyhound was in season and scratched the greyhound accordingly. Stewards noted his explanation. 

Blue Shadows and Midnight Mystery collided soon after the start checking Midnight Mystery, Apex Within and Shining. Apex Within and Shining collided on the first turn checking Shining. Apex Within and Aston Atley collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn checking Aston Atley. Midnight Mystery and Black Impala collided on the home turn. Black Impala underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Mr. V. Tullio was questioned regarding his conduct in the public dining area prior to Race 1. Evidence was taken from Mr. Tullio and Steward Mr. M. Blood before Stewards adjourned the enquiry to gather further evidence, including CCTV footage.

Supplementary Report: After considering the evidence in it's entirty, the matter was finalised without charge.

Double Buxton – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at the Gosford for an unsatisfactory performance. Weighing 32.9kg and beginning from box 6, Double Buxton completed the 500mt trial distance in a time of 28.96. Double Buxton placed 4th in a field of 4 beaten by 4L. Double Buxton has been cleared to race at all tracks except Gosford.
