Steward's Report
Seminole Wind – Not raced for in excess of three months and is returning to racing from a right hock injury.
Why Not Grace and Why Not Kez were slow to begin.
Seminole Wind and Meehan Pebbles collided approaching the first turn, checking Seminole Wind. Kraken Pennys checked off Why Not Kez on the first turn. Seminole Wind, Why Not Kez and Kraken Pennys collided entering the home straight, checking all three greyhounds. Why Not Grace checked off Seminole Wind in the home straight.
A post-race sample was taken from Why Not Kez – unplaced in the event. Stewards noted that there was significant movement in fixed odds betting surrounding Why Not Kez as the greyhounds were being boxed. Trainer Mr. L. Carter stated that he did not support the greyhound in today's event and could offer no explanation regarding the late betting movement of Why Not Kez.
