Dyna Virion was slow to begin. Galaxy Blaster and Whynot Gazza collided soon after the start. Divya Bale raced wide approaching the first turn. Olson Bale checked off Dyna Xarvel on the first turn. Dyna Xarvel and Miss Bellawood collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Bellawood. Dyna Darius and Miss Bellawood collided entering the back straight checking Miss Bellawood. Whynot Gazza brushed the running rail on the third turn. Dyna Virion and Whynot Gazza collided approaching the home turn.
Whynot Gazz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
