Steward's Report
Chiquita Lass and Lucy's Milo were quick to begin and collided soon after the start. Chiquita Lass and Snags Mckenzie collided on the first turn. Snags Mckenzie and Say Hi collided on the first turn. Rockstar Prince and Ask Me Now collided on the first turn. There's A Catch and Riley's Paige collided on the first turn. Rockstar Prince, Ask Me Now and There's A Catch collided heavily on the first turn. Riley's Paige checked off Say Hi on the first turn. Rockstar Prince and Snags Mckenzie collided on the first turn. Rockstar Prince checked off Say Hi approaching the third turn. Snags Mckenzie eased, shifted out and collided several times with Say Hi and Riley's Paige on the third turn. Snags Mckenzie and There's A Catch collided approaching the home turn. Snags Mckenzie eased in the home straight.
Snags Mckenzie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained injuries to the left toe and left sesamoid, A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr David Burnett, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn and in th ehome straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Snags Mckenzie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Burnett pleaded guilty to the charge, Snags Mckenzie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Post-race samples were taken from Lucy's Milo (1st) and Chiquita Lass (2nd).
