Steward's Report
Valencia Gem, Tauwitchere and Fancy Francene were quick to begin. Lightning Blast was slow to begin.
Black Signature and Lightning Blast collided soon after the start. Bit Flash and Tauwitchere collided several times on the first turn. Dolly Mac, Black Signature and Lightning Blast collided heavily on the first turn. Bit Flash, Tauwhichere and Fancy Francene collided heavily on the first turn. Fancy Francene checked off Bit Flash on the first turn, checking Black Signature. Lightning Blast checked off Tauwhichere on the second turn. Dolly Mac contacted the inside running rail on the third turn. Dolly Mac checked off Fancy Francene on the third turn and lost considerable ground.
Bit Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Dolly Mac underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained injuries to the left sartorius muscle and left shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
