Steward's Report
Serendipity Life – Not raced for in excess of three months and is returning to racing from an extended spell.
Drama Club – Not raced for in excess of three months and is returning to racing from a season and change of kennel. New declared weight of 29.9 kgs, last raced at 30.0 kgs.
Drama Club was quick to begin. Mortadella was slow to begin. Susie's Star checked off Serendipity Life soon after the start. Mortadella and Serendipity Star collided approaching the first turn, checking Serendipity Star. Serendipity Life checked off Simmo Gogolac on the first turn. Serendipity Life raced wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.
Serendipity Life underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race four. No apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr Richard Boehm regarding the performance of Serendipity Life approaching and on the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Serendipity Life must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Serendipity Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
