Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Nath.
Zipping Dion and Uprising were slow to begin. Miss Dee Meadows, Pure Cool Titan and Banjo Fever collided soon after the start. Banjo Fever checked off Pure Cool Titan approaching the first turn. Miss Dee Meadows, Pure Cool Titan, Zipping Dion and Mr. Diaz collided on the first turn checking Pure Cool Titan, Uprising, Mr. Diaz and Zipping Dion. Zipping Dion and Mr. Diaz collided on the home turn. Mr. Diaz eased in the home straight and again approaching the winning post, colliding with Zipping Dion.
Mr. Diaz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstrings, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Ms. S. Warde. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mr. Diaz was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Warde pleaded guilty to the charge, and was found guilty. Mr. Diaz must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
