Aston Joyner checked off Weeona Raph on the first turn. Shamrock Valley and Aston Joyner collided on the first turn, checking Aston Joyner. Ah Sugar Sugar and Weeona Raph collided approaching the home turn, checking Ah Sugar Sugar, which finished tailed off as a result. Shamrock Valley raced wide entering the home straight.
