Steward's Report
Bomber's Return – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a left hind toe injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Hammer Head.
Clark Road was slow to begin.
Tiggy Buzzard and Discovered collided approaching the first turn, checking Discovered and Clark Road. Bomber's Return, Hammer Head, Clark Road and Discovered raced wide in the home straight. Bomber's Return turned its head outwards several times in the home straight, and collided with Hammer Head.
Discovered underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a gracilis muscle injury to the left hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Bomber's Return underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wound left hind limb, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr G.Green, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Bomber's Return was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. G.Green Trainer pleaded guilty to the charge, Bomber's return must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted
