A pre-race sample was taken from Buy Me Diamonds.
Lektra Zephyr, Extra Gear and Kraken Dust were slow to begin.
Flossing crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Kraken Dust. Lektra Zephyr crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Royal Solo, Axel Footluce and Lektra Zephyr. Extra Gear, Axel Footluce and Royal Solo collided approaching the first turn checking Royal Solo. Royal Solo and Lektra Zephyr collided on the first turn checking Lektra Zephyr and severely checking Kraken Dust which stumbled as a result. Axel Footluce and Extra Gear collided on the second turn. Royal Solo and Lektra Zephyr collided on the second turn. Buy Me Diamonds checked off Flossing in the back straight. Buy Me Diamonds and Flossing collided on the third turn checking Flossing. Axel Footluce checked off Buy Me Diamonds entering the home straight.
Kraken Dust underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor laceration to the left hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
