Red Rochelle and Adori collided entering the home straight checking Red Rochelle and Our Airman, Red Rochelle stumbled as a result. Adori and Our Airman collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds. 

Mitta Mitta underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right fore leg monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Springvale Misty was quick to begin. 

Zipping Chance checked off Refresh on the first turn. Springvale Misty and Black Tess collided on the first turn.  Hungry Grub galloped on the heels of Cougar Icon on the first turn turn checking both greyhounds. Magic Talents checked off Springvale Misty on the first turn. Hungry Grub contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Magic Talents checked off Black Tess approaching the home turn. Cougar Icon collided with Magic Talents entering the home straight unbalancing Cougar Icon for a few strides as a result.  

Hungry Grub underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Thomeli Tash and Canyon County collided soon after the start. Hotspur Joey and Thomeli Tash collided on the first turn checking Thomeli Tash.  Flame Slinger checked off  Why Not Caleb on the first turn. Why Not Caleb and Canyon County collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Davis, trainer of Last Outlaw, regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations. Mr. Davis stated, that in his opinion,  Last Outlaw may not have backed up from a three day break and felt that the increase in distance in tonight's event may have also been a factor in the greyhound's performance. Stewards noted Mr. Davis' explanation and took no further action.

Mepunga Pride and Sarah Smirnoff collided son after the start checking Mepunga Pride and Cavernando. Sarah Smirnoff checked off Mepunga Pride approaching the first turn. Kissable checked off Quick Session approaching the home turn. Rickett's Point became unbalanced entering the home straight.

Mepunga Bonnie and Bumble Bee Bolto collided soon after the start. Mepunga Bonnie galloped on the heels of Noonbarra Storm on the first turn, checking Mepunga Bonnie, Noonbarra Storm and Lost Love. Little Women galloped on the heels of Hot Jean on the first turn, checking Hot Jean. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Fleur Delacour.

Fab Reiko and Grey Ghost collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Hooked On You and Fleur Delacour collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Hooked On You, Fleur Delacour and Fab Reiko. Hooked On You and Grey Ghost collided on the home turn checking Grey Ghost. Hooked On You raced wide in the home straight, checking Grey Ghost.

Mr. Moonlight and Daytona Fernando collided on the first turn checking Daytona Fernando. 

Speedy Spyro - New declared weight of 31.2kg, last start weight was 33.2kg in a satisfactory trial. Speed Spyro was not cleared in the satisfactory trial at Ballarat however the weight recorded on that day is acknowledged as the greyhound's last start weight. Speedy Spyro is cleared to race at all tracks except Ballarat. 

The start of this race was rescheduled by SKY channel to start at 10.40pm, however the TAB was not advised of the time change. After consultation with the TAB, this race started at the previously advertised time of 10.44pm.
