Azure Dragon was slow to begin.
Fess Crockett, Shimmy Dat Ray and Azure Dragon collided approaching the first turn checking Fess Crockett and Azure Dragon. Ninety Proof, Pure Cool Titan and Miss Pocket Aces collided on the first turn checking Pure Cool Titan and Shimmy Dat Ray. Miss Pocket Aces and Ninety Proof collided on the home turn. Azure Dragon checked off the heels of Ninety Proof in the home straight and raced wide as a result.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Bartlett (handler) regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Pure Cool Titan. Stewards directed that Pure Cool Titan be boxed first in future events.
