Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Terry Erenshaw, the trainer of Flying Cash regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Flying Cash last raced at the Lang Lang Coursing on 5th August 2018. Mr Erenshaw stated that the greyhound had suffered a left hock injury.
Mr Terry Erenshaw, trainer of Flying Cash declared a new weight of 28.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Flying Cash last raced at 26.6kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Flying Cash.
Bronelly Buster was slow to begin.
Claretown Boris and Lara Croft collided soon after the start. Claretown Boris and Flying Cash collided at the 300m mark. Lara Croft and She's Wicked collided at the 150m mark. Tusksa checked off Bronelly Buster at the 150m mark and faltered thereafter. Flying Cash checked off Claretown Boris at the 50m mark.
Tusksa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms A. Powell, the trainer of Piccolo Princess regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Piccolo Princess last raced on the 17th June 2018. Ms Powell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a muscle monkey injury and a seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Piccolo Princess trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 26.0kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 16.86, the greyhound was beaten by margin of 5.25L. Princess Piccolo was Cleared.
