Pattaya Paul and Possibly collided approaching the first turn. Merl's Blaze and Seabrook Gem collided on the first turn checking Merl's Blaze. Please Stand Up visibly eased on the first turn. Please Stand Up raced wide on the home turn. Merl's Blaze and Please Stand Up raced wide in the home straight.

Merl's Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Please Stand Up was vetted It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and right hip, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Galea, the handler of the greyhound Please Stand Up regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stewards charged Please Stand Up with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
