Rocket Ruby was slow to begin. Eyes On You and Base Camp collided soon after the start checking Eyes On You. Racketeer, Cherokee Shimmer, Base Camp and Amigo Two collided on the first turn checking Racketeer, Hillbilly Boy and Base Camp and severely checking Cherokee Shimmer. Eyes On You and Rocket Ruby collided approaching the home turn. Eyes On You and Rocket Ruby collided on the home turn. Racketeer and Eyes On You collided entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ryan after the greyhound Rocket Ruby was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. K. Ryan was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.
Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Ms. L. Barnes after the greyhound Rocket Ruby was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Ms. Barnes was reminded of her responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
