Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Malcom Carr the representative for Celtic Charm regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Celtic Charm last raced on 26 July, 2018 and is returning to racing following injuries to both back muscles. Mr Carr also declared a new weight of 31.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Celtic Charm last raced at 32.5kgs.
Fiery Universe and Hey Shaza Fozz collided soon after the start. Perfect Hours crossed to the rails soon after the start. Beast, Tat Loxy and Spritely Bob collided soon after the start. Beast checked off Spritely Bob at the 250m mark and collided with Tat Loxy. Celtic Charm faltered at the 250m mark and subsequently tailed off. Beast and Tat Loxy collided at the 150m mark, checking Tat Loxy which stumbled. Hey Shaza Fozz and Chillby collided at the 100m mark, checking Chillby.
Celtic Charm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and right monkey muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
