This meeting was deemed ''Hot Weather Affected".

At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 31.7 degrees and the kennel temperature was 22.6 degrees.

At the start of this event the outside temperature was 28.80 degrees and the kennel temperature was 22.10 degrees.

During the running of the race meeting, the Judge encountered several technical issues with the semaphore board. This issue will be referred to GRV.

Ally Oop Keats was quick to begin. Noonbarra Jack was slow to begin.

Crackerjack Tys and Come On Pepper collided on the first turn, checking Come On Pepper. Ashby Quick and Kayda King collided on the first turn, checking Ashby Quick.

Praise Me, Big Poppy and Flash Angel collided on the first turn , checking Praise Me and Flash Angel. Rosie Yaala and Catch You Later collided on the first turn. Big Poppy galloped on Flash Angel approaching the home turn, checking both.

Big Poppy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left gracilis muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Yaala Eclipse and Streak Ahead was quick to begin. New Wave, Spring Unit and Roman Renegade were slow to begin.

Yaala Eclipse and Spring Classic collided on the first turn, checking Yaala Eclipse. Ashtown checked off New Wave in the home straight.

Spring Unit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  

Stewards issued a warning to Mr .J.Robinson, the trainer of Spring Unit regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Black Tess crossed to the running rail soon after the start, colliding with Cool Titanium, causing Tuxedo Flyer to fall. Cool Titanium and Black Tess collided on the first turn, severely checking Cool Titanium, which contacted the running rail as a result.

Cool Titanium was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Tuxedo Flyer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre race sample was taken from Ocean View.

Ocean View was quick to begin. Chill Out Al and Dyna Yezza were slow to begin.

Air Commander, Rappa Flash and Zipping Galon collided on the first turn, checking Air Commander. Ocean View, Dyna Harpa and Rappa Flash collided on the second turn, checking Chill Out Al and severely checking Ocean View and Dyna Harpa.

Detroit Wally was quick to begin. Romanova was slow to begin.

Rockin' Joe checked off Midnight Mystery soon after the start. Midnight Mystery, Living Daylights and Kinmoss Brave collided on the first turn, checking Living Daylights.  Detroit Wally and Chill Out Chris collided on the home turn. Rockin' Joe and Midnight Mystery raced wide in the home straight.  Kinmoss Brave marred Chill Out Chris in the home straight, checking Detroit Wally and Living Daylights.

Kinmoss Brave was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to right foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Gore, the trainer of the greyhound Kinmoss Brave, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Kinmoss Brave with marring. Mr.R.Gore, pleaded guilty to the charge, Kinmoss Brave was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bear's Legacy was slow to begin.

Chill Out Webby, Rapana and Micky Rads collided approaching the first turn, checking Rapana. Bear's Legacy and Rapana collided on the first turn, checking both. Micky Rads checked off Chill Out Webby on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Kubik regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Murray Mojito.  Stewards directed that Murray Mojito be boxed first in future events. 

A pre race sample was taken from Rig Fifty Five.

Spritely Brew checked off Cavatron approaching the first turn. Racketeer checked off Rig Fifty Five on the first turn. Winsome Express checked off Cavatron on the home turn.

Rig Fifty Five was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Lulumon, Just Talking and Aston Joyner collided approaching the first turn, checking Just Talking. Aston Joyner checked off Lulumon on the first turn, checking Flash Logie. Just Talking checked off Flying Jamaica approaching the home turn, checking Aston Joyner, which raced wide as a result.

Zipping Thurston crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking King Lorrimer and Crackerjack Jase.  Dyna Frankie galloped on Dyna Cortina on the first turn, severely checking Dyna Cortina, Dyna Frankie, King Lorrimer and Crackerjack Jase

Lucille Dior was quick to begin. My Mandara and Why Not Loz were slow to begin.

Runnin' Royalty checked off Bide Your Time on the first turn, checking Wanna Allen and Flo Jo Focus. Wanna Allen checked off Runnin' Royalty in the home straight. Runnin' Royalty and Bide Your Time collided in the home straight.

Due to a malfunction the semaphore board inadvertently changed the fourth placegetter to read number 4. This was rectified to the correct number, number 3. 

Major Gas was a late scratching at 12.43PM due to lameness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
