Steward's Report
Miles Per Gallon and Buy Me Diamonds collided soon after the start. Rappa Flash, Miles Per Gallon and Buy Me Diamonds collided approaching the first turn checking Miles Per Gallon. Tell Nobody faltered approaching the second turn. Poor Old Frank and Osakalaka collided entering the back straight causing Osakalaka to falter and pull up. Crackerjack Doug raced wide on the home turn.
Osakalaka was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Tell Nobody was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right calf, and right chest, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs J. Greenough, Trainer of the greyhound. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Tell Nobody with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Greenough pleaded guilty to the charge, Tell Nobody was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
