Steward's Report
Snakes Alive was slow to begin.
Cosmic Courtney, Golden Moon and La Coconut collided on the first turn checking La Coconut and severely checking Golden Moon, and severely checking Snakes Alive which pulled up as a result.
Cosmic Courtney raced wide on the home turn and collided with Storming Vixen, checking both greyhounds.
Golden Moon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a injury to the left quadriceps muscle and a laceration, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Snakes Alive was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 4, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain and a right pencil muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. The on track veterinarian has requested the greyhound be presented to a clinic within 24 hours for an xray on the injured hock to determine if there is a fracture.
