Spin The Trolley was slow to begin. Ya Ya Ya and Spin The Trolley collided soon after the start checking Spin The Trolley; Spin The Trolley stumbled as a result. Swift Gem and Bags Of Bucks crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Pinky Tuscadero and Airly Spence. Swift Gem and Bags Of Bucks collided on the first turn checking Pinky Tuscadero. Midnight Marzy checked off Ya Ya Ya approaching the home turn. Airly Spence and Bags Of Bucks collided on the home turn. Airly Spence turned its head and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight. Swift Gem and Stylish Missile collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mrs L. Russell, the representative of the greyhound Airly Spence regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Airly Spence was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Airly Spence with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Airly Spence was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted,
