Amlin Freddie was a late scratching at 10:30AM on Stewards permission after trainer, Mr Gerrie Sneyders, advised that he was unable to arrive on-course by the appointed time due to fallen trees and debris en route to the track preventing road access. Stewards accepted the explanation and no penalties were applied.

Sketchy Skinny and See Ya Mate collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark. Wackadooka, See Ya Mate and Sketchy Skinny collided at the 200m mark, checking all three greyhounds. Ballistic Gem checked off Dapper Diesel at the 100m mark.
