Steward's Report
Magic Flora, Dewana Help Me and Omen Allen were slow to begin. Omen Allen clipped the heels of Not Practical approaching the first turn. Dewana Help Me and Dyna Eren collided on the first turn. Titch's Treasure faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Not Practical marred the running of Titch's Treasure approaching the home turn.
Titch's Treasure was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg hock injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Not Practical was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg wrist injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the trainer of the greyhound Not Practical, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Not Practical with marring. Mr Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Not Practical was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
