Steward's Report
Miss Malaysia checked off Dyna Gunner soon after the start. Quavo checked off Bro's Little Gem soon after the start. Air Commander, Bro's Little Gem and Kraken Rose collided on the first turn. Kraken Rose and Soda Geoff collided entering the back straight, checking Soda Geoff. Quavo and Miss Malaysia collided entering the back straight. Miss Malaysia checked off Kraken Rose approaching the home turn. Air Commander and Kraken Rose collided approaching the home turn. Quavo eased approaching the winning post.
Quavo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right hindleg groin injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Dapiran, the trainer of the greyhound Quavo, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Quavo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dapiran pleaded guilty to the charge, Quavo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
