Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cosmic Tilly.
Cinnamon Rose and Scorching Lucy were quick to begin. My Bro Lewis and Lucas The Great collided soon after the start, checking Lucas The Great. Jimmy Got Style and Mister Maker collided soon after the start, checking Mister Maker. Mister Maker and My Bro Lewis collided approaching the first turn. My Bro Lewis and My Victoria collided entering the back straight. My Victoria raced wide in the home straight. My Bro Lewis eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Dapiran, the trainer of the greyhound My Bro Lewis, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. My Bro Lewis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to a left foreleg shoulder joint injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged My Bro Lewis with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dapiran pleaded guilty to the charge, My Bro Lewis was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
