Steward's Report
Quick Step and Star Hunter collided on the first turn; causing Star Hunter to race wide. Bolton Blue, Miss Dee Meadows and Zipping Maisy collided on the first turn. Rowchester Miss, Bolton Blue and Zipping Maisy collided approaching the second turn, checking Bolton Blue and Zipping Maisy. Garick Olivander checked off Cibulkova entering the back straight. Rowchester Miss marred Cibulkova approaching the finishing line.
Rowchester Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg back muscle, and right hindleg triangle and hip injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Korie-Lee Heinrich, the kennel representative of Rowchester Miss, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the finishing line. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Rowchester Miss with marring. Ms Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Rowchester Miss was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
