Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Kim Ryan, the trainer of Early Flight, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Early Flight last raced on 27 February, 2018. Ms Ryan stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a right toe amputation
A pre-race sample was taken from Big Gee Tee.
The start time for this event was delayed by 2.5 minutes due to operational matters.
Early Flight was slow to begin.
Big Gee Tee and Lanis Morris collided approaching the 250m mark. Early Flight faltered approaching the 200m mark. Just Blacky and Secret Love collided at the 100m mark. Here's Tiger and Lanis Morris collided at the 100m mark. Just Blacky and Secret Love collided approaching the winning post.
Early Flight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left biceps femoris (thigh) and right sartorius (pencil) muscles. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
