Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Dyna Chill.
Quartz Vein and Betty La Fae were quick to begin. Over And Away and Whoomph collided on the first turn, checking Whoomph and Our Mate Wilson. Dyna Chill checked off Fat Rhino approaching the home turn. Over And Away and Dyna Chill collided on the home turn, checking Over And Away. Whoomph checked off Over And Away on the home turn.
Whoomph which trialled the field throughout was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail on the right hind leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Magri, the representative of the greyhound Whoomph. Stewards deemed the performance of Whoomph unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Whoomph must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
