Stewards issued a warning to Mr Barry Hall, the trainer of Kraken Aye Kay, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

On Time Johnny was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg radius/ulna fracture and was humanely euthanased.

Mister Maker, Jai Jai Away and Sparkling Jewel were slow to begin.  Blackpool Alexis, Mepunga Dasha and Icarus collided on the first turn, checking Mepunga Dasha.  Blackpool Alexis, Mister Maker and Jai Jai Away collided on the home turn, checking Jai Jai Away.

Hail A Cab was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg wrist and left hindleg pencil/whip injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Eliza Dee trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 25.3 kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 23:79, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.5 lengths.  Eliza Dee was Cleared.
