Road To Nhill and Blue Squirrel collided soon after the start. Nunningong Miss crossed to the rail at the 300m mark, checking Gone Rusty and Mr. Swan. Road To Nhill checked off Mr. Swan at the 300m mark, checking Blue Squirrel and Standing Bear. Octo Burn crossed to the outside at the 250m mark, checking Road To Nhill and Standing Bear. Blue Squirrel and Road To Nhill collided at the 50m mark. Standing Bear and Blue Squirrel collided approaching the winning post.
Road To Nhill was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
