Stewards spoke to Ms Mandy Shaw, the representative of Banyuatis, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Banyuatis last raced on 20 April 2018 and is returning after a change of kennels.  Ms Shaw also declared a new weight of 36.7 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Banyuatis last raced at 34.8 kgs.

Banyuatis, Mrs Hassle and Master Winslow were slow to begin.  Urzael Harbinger and She's My Blast collided soon after the start.  Mrs Hassle, Master Winslow and Smash Hit collided soon after the start.  Banyuatis and Broken Rules collided approaching the 200m mark.  Banyuatis and Master Winslow collided at the 150m mark.  Banyuatis galloped on Master Winslow approaching the 50m mark and crossed to the outside, checking Master Winslow.  Banyuatis checked off Just Over approaching the winning post.

Mrs Hassle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a pelvic injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Schofield, the trainer of Hot Fiasco, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hot Fiasco last raced on 28 March 2018 and is returning following a change of kennels. 

Hot Fiasco was slow to begin.  Talkback Caller and High Tale collided soon after the start.  Fernando's Angel raced wide at the 300m mark and collided with Matesy's Girl.  Emma's Not Happy checked off Go Shirvo Go at the 250m mark.  Matesy's Girl and High Tale collided approaching the 200m mark, checking Matesy's Girl.  Talkback Caller and High Tale collided at the 150m mark.  Fernando's Angel marred the running of Chantilly Mack approaching the 50m mark.  Talkback Caller and High Tale collided approaching the winning post.

Fernando's Angel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg pencil/whip injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Domenic Paterno, the trainer of the greyhound Fernando's Angel, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 50m mark.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Fernando's Angel with marring.  Mr Paterno pleaded guilty to the charge, Fernando's Angel was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Emma's Not Happy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pectoral (chest) muscle and left quadriceps, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Cosmic Ollie was quick to begin.  Spolly's Jet and Cheeky Liana collided soon after the start, checking Cheeky Liana, Super Spolly, Where's Lola and Deano's Mojo.  Star Hennessy and Spolly's Jet collided soon after the start.  Where's Lola and Deano's Mojo collided at the 300m mark, checking Where's Lola and Super Spolly.  Cheeky Liana and Deano's Mojo collided at the 250m mark, checking Cheeky Liana.

Reco Tonic and Friend In Me were slow to begin.  Whodat Dare, Friend In Me and Jetson Princess collided soon after the start.  Rayza's Gadget and Reco Tonic collided soon after the start.  Reco Tonic and Friend In Me collided at the 300m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Whodat Dare and Jetson Princess collided several times from the 300m mark to the 200m mark.  Wild Bandit and Magic Flora collided at the 250m mark and again approaching the 200m mark.  Friend In Me and Wendy Maria collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Wendy Maria and Magic Flora.  Whodat Dare checked off Jetson Princess approaching the 100m mark.  Wendy Maria and Reco Tonic collided at the 100m mark.

Tiempo Dinero was slow to begin.  Miss Dozer and Mon Mekki Kahn collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark.

Our Centurion and Octo Flash were slow to begin.  Buddy's Entity, White Minion and Shawnee Jaguar collided soon after the start.  Bruree Boy checked off White Minion at the 100m mark, checking Our Centurion.

Stewards spoke to Ms Kim Ryan, the trainer of Early Express, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Early Express last raced on 27 March 2018 and is returning after a left shoulder injury.  Ms Ryan also declared a new weight of 32.4 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Early Express last raced at 31.3 kgs.

Black In Town and Samba Law collided soon after the start.  Good Old Days and Ruby Gas collided soon after the start.  Elusive Anake crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Ruby Gas, severely checking Black In Town, Samba Law and Secret Love.  Elusive Anake and Ruby Gas collided several times from the 250m mark to the 200m mark.  Ruby Gas crossed to the rail at the 150m mark and collided several times with Elusive Anake, checking Ruby Gas, and severely checking Elusive Anake; Secret Love was checked as a result.

Stewards spoke to Ms Kim Ryan, the trainer of Early Thunder, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Early Thunder last raced on 1 March 2018 and is returning after a right wrist tendon injury.

Subscspularis and Why Not Senor were slow to begin.

Kalahari Sands was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr John Barbara, trainer of Bear's Legacy, declared a new weight of 34.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Bear's Legacy last raced at 35.1 kgs.

Valdar Bale and Bear's Legacy were slow to begin and collided approaching the 200m mark.  Oaklands and Bear's Legacy collided at the 150m mark.  Khaleesi Girl and Porscha's Girl collided at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to Ms Brooke Berry, the trainer of King Size Shambi, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  King Size Shambi last raced on 6 February 2018 and is returning after a spell.

Mr Peter Schofield, trainer of Devil One, declared a new weight of 33.2 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Devil One last raced at 34.5 kgs.

Just Blacky and King Size Shambi were slow to begin.  I've Got Bills crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Devil One, Rose Of Dyanna, Superior Martini and Just Blacky.  King Size Shambi and Devil One collided soon after the start.  Superior Martini and Rose Of Dyanna collided at the 200m mark.  I've Got Bills and Oamaru Wonder collided at the 200m mark.  I've Got Bills and Just Blacky collided several times from the 200m mark to approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Kim Ryan, the trainer of Early Special, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Early Special last raced on 22 December 2018.  Ms Ryan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Early Special trialled over the 300m from box three, weight 27.0 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 16:83, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Early Special was Cleared.
