Dirty Max, My Mate Wally, Aston Ninja and Mepunga Pride collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Pride. Dirty Max, My Mate Wally, Champagne Luxe, Haddi Bale and Poor Old Frank collided on the first turn checking Haddi Bale, Mepunga Pride and Poor Old Frank which lost ground as a result. Dirty Max raced wide on the home turn.
Poor Old Frank underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
