Sabjorn Bale, Angel Cloud and Winlock Rose collided approaching the first turn. Sabjorn Bale checked off Angel Cloud on the first turn. Angel Cloud, Winlock Rose and My Lil' Angel collided on the first turn checking Sabjorn Bale which faltered, lost ground and tailed off. Angel Cloud checked off the heels of Winlock Rose approaching the home turn. Diesel's A Rebel, Angel Cloud and Winlock Rose raced wide on the home turn.
Sabjorn Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
