More Wit and Our Magic Turbo were slow to begin.
Yaritza Allen and Our Magic Turbo collided soon after the start.
More Wit checked off All In Christy approaching the first turn. All Inn Christy galloped on the heels of Captive Prince on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Our Magic Turbo checked off Aston Reine approaching the home turn checking Aston Reine, Jye Licious and Yaritza Allen. Captive Prince checked off Our Magic Turbo on the home turn. More Wit checked off Captive Prince on the home turn. Jye Licious turned it's head and collided with Aston Reine on the home turn forcing both greyhounds to race wide.
More Wit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the tail and a lost dew claw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Jye Licious underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right elbow injury and a spike wound to the right stopper. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jye Formosa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Jye Licious was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Jye Licious must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
