Steward's Report
Chicago Focus was slow to begin. Mandible, Revolution Hook and Moroka Assassin collided soon after the start checking Revolution Hook. El Burrito checked off Kramer Bale approaching the first turn checking Mandible. Kramer Bale and Grease Lightning collided on the first turn checking Kramer Bale. Chicago Focus checked off Kramer Bale approaching the home turn. Grease Lightning and Braemar Sassy collided approaching the home turn checking Braemar Sassy. Moroka Assassin visibly eased approaching the home turn. Grease Lightning and Moroka Assassin collided on the home turn. Mandible checked off Chicago Focus entering the home straight.
Moroka Assassin underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Douch declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Douch, the trainer of Moroka Assassin regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Moroka Assassin was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Douch pleaded guilty to the charge, Moroka Assassin is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)2(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
