Barroom Jewel was quick to begin. Akina Spice, Bandwagon and Sultan Bale were slow to begin. Akina Spice, Sager and Bandwagon collided soon after the start checking Sager. Taylor's Chip checked off Barroom Jewel approaching the home turn. Bandwagon galloped on Taylor's Chip approaching the home turn severely checking Bandwagon and causing Taylor's Chip to fall. Akina Spice checked off Spinner Hook approaching the home turn and stumbled as a result. Barroom Jewel raced erratically approaching the winning post.
