Due to complications with Fastrack, kennelling was conducted under a manual process. As a result, kennels closed twelve minutes later than normal (6.40pm).
Express Angel and Last Hurrah were quick to begin. Aston Torres was slow to begin.
Marlise Bale and Aston Torres collided approaching the first turn. Express Angel checked off Last Hurrah on the first turn, checking Last Hurrah. Princess Pulse checked off Last Hurrah approaching the home turn. Express Angel and Marlise Bale raced wide on the home turn.
