Steward's Report
Goofey Express was quick to begin. Come On Leyna was slow to begin.
Dreamy Eyes checked off Dyna Darius soon after the start. Come On Leyna contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result. Come On Leyna and Dreamy Eyes raced wide on the home turn. Goofey Express and Dyna Darius collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Goofey Express checked off Battered Sav approaching the winning post. Prompt failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post and collided with Battered Sav, checking Battered Sav.
Come On Leyna was vetted following the event, It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A Setford, the trainer of the greyhound Prompt regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.. Prompt was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Prompt with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr A.Setford Trainer pleaded guilty to the charge, Prompt was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
