A pre race sample was taken from Bad Neighbour.
Zoro Bale went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Bad Neighbour was slow to begin.
Ima Mystery Girl and Rockstar Steffi soon after the start. Bad Neighbour checked off Saetta approaching the first turn. Ima Mystery Girl, Rockstar Steffi and Warpedo collided approaching the first turn checking Ima Mystery Girl and Rockstar Steffi. Bad Neighbour and Hey Fernando collided on the first turn. Warpedo and Saetta collided on the first turn checking Bad Neighbour and severely checking Warpedo and Saetta. Ima Mystery Girl and Zoro Bale collided on the first turn. Bad Neighbour checked off Ima Mystery Girl on the second turn.
Saetta was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Britton, the trainer of Hey Fernando regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards issued Mr Britton a $100 fine pursuant to GAR 46(2).
