Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to maintenance being conducted on the lure.
Marcus Will was quick to begin. True was very slow to begin (3L)
Exceptionable and Battered Sav collided soon after the start checking Exceptionable. Marcus Will, Rothwell Gal and Tickle My Fancy collided on the first turn checking Rothwell Gal and severely checking Tickle My Fancy and Little Rage. Battered Sav checked off Rothwell Gal approaching the home turn.
Exceptionable was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to both hind feet. No stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Marcus Will - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Malia-Magri, the handler of Rothwell Gal, regarding her failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards issued Ms. Malia-Magri with a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
