Dyna Darius, Adori and  Killana collided spproaching the first turn checking Killana. Dyna Darius, Dyna Romy, Dyna Virion and Big Holiday collided on the first turn checking Big Holiday and Adori. Dyna Darius galloped on the heels of Chillin on the home turn checking Chillin. Dyna Virion, Dyna Darius and Chillin collided on the home turn.

Killana was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right foreleg dew claw and right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to maintenance being conducted on the lure.

Marcus Will was quick to begin. True was very slow to begin (3L)

Exceptionable and Battered Sav collided soon after the start checking Exceptionable. Marcus Will, Rothwell Gal and Tickle My Fancy collided on the first turn checking Rothwell Gal and severely checking Tickle My Fancy and Little Rage. Battered Sav checked off Rothwell Gal approaching the home turn.

Exceptionable was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to both hind feet.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Malia-Magri, the handler of Rothwell Gal, regarding her failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards issued Ms. Malia-Magri with a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Supercross and Kimmela were slow to begin.

New Sense was slow to begin.

Suvla Bay and Saint West collided soon after the start checking Saint West.  Quick Transition checked off Suvla Bay on the first turn.  Quick Transition and Saint West collided approaching the home turn. By Your Side checked off Suvla Bay on the home turn and collided with Telegraph Road. Saint West checked off By Your Side entering the home straight. King Lorrimer and Suvla Bay collided several times approaching the home turn, on the home turn, in the home straight and approaching the winning post. 

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Cooper Scooper and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.54pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr T. Scott was fined the sum of $100.

Big Deal and Ursula Allen collided soon after the start. Big Deal checked off Hillbilly Boy approaching the first turn. Hillbilly Boy and Ursula Allen collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Sergeant Schultz and Dyna Garner collided approaching the home turn checking Sergeant Schultz. Cougar Icon and Done it Again collided soon after the start. Why Not Kylie checked off Cougar Icon approaching the first turn. Chilling Story checked off Crackerjack Cash on the first turn. Chilling Story checked off Completed approaching the home turn checking Cougar Icon, causing Done It Again to fall. Crackerjack Cash and Graphic Print collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Done It Again was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a thoraco-lumbar injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Snags McKenzie was quick to begin. Noonbarra Storm was slow to begin. 

Galina Reznikov, Quick Session and Winlock Intent collided approaching the first turn. Galina Reznikov and Winlock Intent collided approaching the home turn. Giant Jarvis checked off Quick Session approaching the home turn. Thumbs and Noonbarra Storm collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Galina Reznikov turned its head outwards in the home straight and collided with Winlock Intent.

Galina Reznikov was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg spike wound.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Cachia, the handler of the greyhound Galina Reznikov, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Galina Reznikov with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr S. Cachia pleaded not guilty to the charge, Galina Reznikov was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
