A pre-race sample was taken from Little Red Hot.
Why Not Dean went up with the lids at box rise. Bob's Hammer and Little Red Hot collided soon after the start. Jean Girard faltered approaching the first turn and commenced to lose ground. Little Red Hot checked off Bob's Hammer on the first turn. Hammer Red and Madonya collided approaching the home turn checking Hammer Red. Madonya checked off Big Barra entering the home straight.
Jean Girard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
