Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Johnson, the trainer of Peaked regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Peaked last raced on 23rd of September 2018. Mr Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Mr Johnson also declared a new weight of 31.7 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Peaked last raced at 30.4kg.
Stylish Chief and Bushman's Billy collided soon after the start. All Inn Youi and Almendra collided on the first turn severely checking Almendra, causing Almendra and Select Teeman to collide. All Inn Youi checked off Peaked on the first turn checking both greyhounds, causing Peaked to check off Bushman's Billy, Peaked lost ground as as result. Peaked stumbled on the home turn.
Peaked was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left carpal fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
