Steward's Report
Fine For Me was quick to begin. Akina Harley was slow to begin. Akina Moss and Rapanui Surprise collided soon after the start checking Rapanui Surprise. Scooby Scooby Do and Spritely Mac collided approaching the first turn checking Scooby Scooby Do. Dyna Diode and Rapanui Surprise collided on the first turn checking Rapanui Surprise. Tory's Rocket and Akina Moss collided on the first turn checking Akina Moss. Rapanui Surprise and Tory's Rocket collided on the first turn checking Rapanui Surprise, Tory's Rocket and Akina Harley. Rapanui Surprise and Scooby Scooby Do collided approaching the home turn checking Scooby Scooby Do. Akina Harley and Spritely Mac collided on the home turn. Dyna Diode eased several times in the home straight and collided with Fine For Me.
Dyna Diode was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Coulsen the representative for Dyna Diode regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Dyna Diode with failing to pursue the lure with due committment. Mr. Coulsen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dyna Diode was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
