Steward's Report
Roses for Sal was slow to begin.
Zipping Colette failed to pursue the lure with due commitment soon after the start, checking Dee Jakit. Zipping Colette checked off Krisbar Immy on the first turn. Nana Denise raced wide on home turn and again in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Dyna Helena - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M Shaw, the handler of the greyhound Zipping Colette regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Zipping Colette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right pencil muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Zipping Colette with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Colette was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
