Steward's Report
Trainer Mr S Collyer (representing Trainer - Mr D. Trewin), was fined the sum of $200 for failing to retrieve the greyhound Yeppy Allen from the kennels by the prescribed time pursuant to GAR 46 (2). As a result the start of the event was delayed approximately one minute.
Yeppy Allen and Moondust collided soon after the start, severely checking Moondust which fell as a result. Jimbo's Sox, Queen Of Meereen and Electric Hippy collided on the first turn checking Electric Hippy and Queen Of Meereen. Jimbo's Sox and Unsullied collided approaching the home turn checking Unsullied. My Territory, Unsullied and Queen Of Meereen collided on the home turn checking Unsullied.
Moondust was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a pelvic injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
