Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Bolare.
Following this event, Stewards declared 'Hold All Tickets' in order to review the race footage in relation to the lure starting position. After reviewing all available footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards established that the starting position of the lure was incorrect for this event, with the lure having been placed in position for the 460m start instead of the 400m start. As a result, Stewards declared a No Race in accordance with GAR 54 (1).
This incident will be referred to the Chief Steward.
Pursuant to GAR 38(12) weights recorded for greyhounds in this event will be deleted from the weight card.
Supplementary Report 24 October 2018: As a result of inquiries conducted into the positioning of the lure for this event which caused the declaration of a ”No Race”, Steward Mr Cam Day who was positioned in the Judges Tower for the event was instructed to take my care when going through the starting procedure for a race.
Lure driver Mr J. Haigh was rerferred to Greyhound Racing Victoria‘s Racing Operstions Manager.
