Serendipity Life was slow to begin.

Hillbilly June, Wok Djay and Chill Out Isla collided soon after the start. Fly Night and Limburg Sprite collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Serendipity Life, Hollywood Donuts and Chill Out Isla collided on the first turn checking Serendipity Life, Hollywood Donuts, Chill Out Isla and Hope To Wyn. Serendipity Life and Hollywood Donuts collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. 

A sample was taken from Fly Night - the winner of the event.

Serendipity Life was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a mild laceration to the left forearm and a torn nail on the right hindleg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mr R. Boehm regarding the racing manners of the greyhound on the first turn. Mr Boehm explained that the greyhound has a tendancy to race wide and on this occasion suffered interference which caused the greyhound to lose ground. After reviewing the inconclusive footage of the incident Stewards noted Mr Boehm's explanation. 

Storming Vixen and Janray Mazel Tov were quick to begin. Skeeta Storm, Serendipity Star and La Caprice were slow to begin.

Mrs Hassle and Speed Burst collided soon after the start checking Mrs Hassle. Murrabit Sammy and Speed Burst collided on the first turn. Storming Vixen and Speed Burst collided on the first turn checking Storming Vixen. Serendipity Star and Mrs Hassle collided approaching the home turn checking Mrs Hassle. Storming Vixen, La Caprice and Serendipity Star collided approaching the home turn checking La Caprice. 

Mrs Hassle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Murrabit Sammy - the winner of the event.

Ruby's Rosa, Lava Lamp and Octo Flash were slow to begin.

Hurricane Rose, Dyna Jules and Dyna Fiver collided soon after the start checking Dyna Jules. Hurricane Rose and Dyna Fiver collided on the first turn checking Dyna Fiver, Hurricane Rose and Dyna Jules. Hurricane Rose and Lava Lamp collided on the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Fawn Regrets.

Fawn Regrets and Keisha's Boy were slow to begin.

Hot Cruiser, Avatar Witch and Dyna Sarah collided on the first turn checking Hot Cruiser, Avatar Witch and Elle's Toy. Dyna Sarah checked off Ball Bearing on the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Bomber's Baby.

Cruising Stella and Bomber's Baby collided soon after the start checking Cruising Stella. Cruisy's Angle and Miss Pocket Aces collided soon after the start checking Miss Pocket Aces. Miss Pocket Aces and Fleur Delacour collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Cruisy's Angle checked off Monaro Joe on the first turn. Monaro Joe checked off Bomber's Baby on the first turn. Cruisy's Angle and Miss Pocket Aces collided on the first turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Bolare.

Following this event, Stewards declared 'Hold All Tickets' in order to review the race footage in relation to the lure starting position. After reviewing all available footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards established that the starting position of the lure was incorrect for this event, with the lure having been placed in position for the 460m start instead of the 400m start. As a result, Stewards declared a No Race in accordance with GAR 54 (1).

This incident will be referred to the Chief Steward.

Pursuant to GAR 38(12) weights recorded for greyhounds in this event will be deleted from the weight card.

Supplementary Report 24 October 2018: As a result of inquiries conducted into the positioning of the lure for this event which caused the declaration of a  ”No Race”,   Steward Mr Cam Day who was positioned in the Judges Tower for the event was instructed to take my care when going through the starting procedure for a race. 

Lure driver Mr J. Haigh was rerferred  to Greyhound Racing Victoria‘s Racing Operstions Manager. 

King Of Merrimu was a late scratching at 3.32pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer J. Quagliaro was fined the sum of $100.

Mr Moonlight and Destini Montana collided soon the start checking Destini Montana. Destini Montana and Agent Barry collided on the first turn checking Agent Barry.

Trainer Mr S Collyer (representing Trainer - Mr D. Trewin), was fined the sum of $200 for failing to retrieve the greyhound Yeppy Allen from the kennels by the prescribed time pursuant to GAR 46 (2). As a result the start of the event was delayed approximately one minute.

Yeppy Allen and Moondust collided soon after the start, severely checking Moondust which fell as a result. Jimbo's Sox, Queen Of Meereen and Electric Hippy collided on the first turn checking Electric Hippy and Queen Of Meereen. Jimbo's Sox and Unsullied collided approaching the home turn checking Unsullied. My Territory, Unsullied and Queen Of Meereen collided on the home turn checking Unsullied.

Moondust was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a pelvic injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Further Dreamer was slow to begin. Mini Fernando was quick to begin. 

Eltora and Riverdale Danger collided soon after the start checking Eltora. Whatta Lady and Coconut Gloria collided soon after the start. Coconut Gloria and Whatta Lady collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Riverdale Danger and No Secrets collided on the first turn checking Coconut Gloria, Riverdale Danger, Eltora, Further Dreamer and No Secrets causing No Secrets to tail off.

No Secrets was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left metatarsal, a 21 day standdown period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Bush Destroyer.

Bush Destroyer, Deep Creek Girl and Quick Session collided soon after the start. Bush Destroyer, Architecture and Rapid Rock collided on the first turn checking Rapid Rock, Deep Creek Girl and Suspicious Lee.

A pre race sample was taken from Take That Banksy.

The start of this race was delayed by 3 minutes due to a rabbit on the track.

Riverdale Tarzan and Wishing Angel were slow to begin. Crainy's Wish and Scott A Secret were quick to begin.

Take That Banksy and Sunningdale collided soon after the start. Crainy's Wish and Scott A Secret collided on the first turn severely checking Scott A Secret which fell as a result. Take That Banksy and Riverdale Tarzan collided approaching the home turn. Crainy's Wish and Don Quixote collided on the home turn.

Scott A Secret was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Willoughby, the representative of Oronsay, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Oronsay last raced on 8/3/18. Mr. Willoughby stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right triangle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Oronsay trialled over the 400m from Box 1, weight 27.7kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.72, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.25L. Oronsay was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms D. Coleman, the representative of Kabo's Winlock, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kabo's Winlock last raced on 8/4/18. Ms D. Coleman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hind sesamoid injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kabo's Winlock trialled over the 400m from Box 5, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5L. Kabo's Winlock was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Chase To Wyn trialled over the 400m from Box 3, weight 34.4kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.25L. Chase To Wyn was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Bakali Louis trialled over the 400m from Box 8, weight 35.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.72, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 7L. Bakali Louis was Cleared.

A sample was taken from Bakali Louis prior to trialling.

A sample was taken from Raloo Barbara, which was presented to trial, however the greyhound's weight was subsequently found to be more than 1kg less than its previous start on 9/10/18 and as such the greyhound did not trial.
