Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Olympia.
Dr. Mino was slow to begin.
Zelzer Allen, Zipping Olympia, Rixy Ya Pest and Mepunga Molly collided on the first turn checking Zipping Olympia, Rixy Ya Pest and Mepunga Molly. Zipping Olympia checked off Zelzer Allen on the second turn checking Rixy Ya Pest. Zelzer Allen and Dr. Mino collided entering the back straight checking Zelzer Allen. Zipping Olympia eased in the back straight checking Zelzer Allen: Zelzer Allen and Zipping Olympia collided repeatedly from that point and took no further competitive part in the event.
Zipping Olympia was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Smith, the representative of the greyhound Zipping Olympia regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the back straight, which visible eased and continued to do so throughout the remainder of the event. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zipping Olympia with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Olympia was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
