Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Moore, the trainer of Red Hot Chevy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Red Hot Chevy last raced on 14 June 2018 and is returning from a spell, Mr R. Moore also declared a new weight of 28.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Red Hot Chevy last raced at 26.0kgs.
Faraday, Bob's Brew and Destini Jaguar were slow to begin.
Honeysuckle Jim checked off Star Rad soon after the start. Honeysuckle Jim checked off Dyna Quail on the first turn checking Faraday.
